Michael Farrell

Vp, Inertial Fusion Technology at General Atomics

Michael Farrell currently serves as Vice President of Inertial Fusion Technology at General Atomics, a position held since September 2009. Previously, Michael held two senior director roles at Cymer from March 2001 to September 2009, focusing on Supplier Development and Quality & Manufacturing Engineering. In the Supplier Development role, responsibilities included identifying and developing key technology suppliers for next-generation photolithography equipment, establishing supplier strategies, negotiating global supply agreements, and analyzing business impacts. As Sr. Director of Quality & Manufacturing Engineering, Michael was accountable for supplier, process, and sustaining engineering, and led continuous improvement initiatives through teamwork with six-sigma black belts. Michael Farrell holds a Master of Science degree in Material Science & Engineering from Virginia Tech.
