Bob Thornton

Bob Thornton is currently the Chief Executive Officer of General Catalyst, overseeing GC Wealth, and serves as Executive Chairman at Clearstead. Previously, they were President of Private Wealth Management at First Republic Bank, where they significantly expanded the business from under $10 billion to over $250 billion in assets. Earlier in their career, Bob held roles as Vice President at Goldman Sachs and Managing Director at both Lehman Brothers and Deutsche Bank, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Bob also serves on the board of Vanilla and has earned a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Duke University.
