Nmachi Jidenma

Nmachi Jidenma is a seasoned professional in the fields of strategy, business development, and venture capital, currently serving as a Partner at General Catalyst since 2022. Previously, Nmachi held the position of Senior Director & Scout at Sequoia Capital from 2021 to November 2022. Extensive experience at WhatsApp from 2017 to 2021 included roles as Global Strategy & Business Development Lead and Head of Global Channel Strategy, where significant contributions were made to the development and monetization of WhatsApp Payments and the WhatsApp Business platform. Prior to WhatsApp, engagements at Meta and Facebook involved leading strategic partnerships in payments and commerce, generating substantial revenue and fostering key collaborations. Early career experiences included vital roles at PayPal and founding CPAfrica, a leading media platform in Africa focused on business and technology.
