John Rumpf graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Virginia in 1986 and earned a Doctor of Law from the University of Michigan in 1989. They began their legal career as an associate at Squire Sanders from 1989 to 1996 before joining Jones Day as an associate from 1996 to 1998. Since 1998, Rumpf has been serving as Executive Counsel for Environmental Affairs at GE.
