Marcus Lee

Marcus Lee has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Marcus most recently served as the Business Development Director - Asia at General Index, starting in July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Consultant at the same company from June 2022 to July 2022.

Before joining General Index, Marcus was the Chief Executive Officer of Seamaster Shipping from April 2019 to March 2021. Marcus also held leadership positions at The Baltic Exchange, where they served as the Managing Director, China from September 2013 to February 2019, and as a Freight Market Assessor from August 2010 to September 2013.

In addition, Marcus has experience as a Tanker Derivatives Broker at SSY - Simpson Spence Young from October 2008 to April 2009, and as a Crude / Tanker Derivatives Broker at Ginga Petroleum from December 2006 to October 2008.
