Brendan Wasmuth is a driven and qualified Chartered Accountant with over twenty years of experience in various business environments, including big-four accounting and consulting firms, as well as global listed and private equity-backed businesses. Currently serving as the Head of Finance Operations and Investments at Generali, Brendan oversees treasury, investments, taxation, and the finance technical team. Brendan has a proven track record in managing large multinational finance teams and functions in high-pressure settings, with extensive expertise in operational, strategic, and technical finance aspects, including M&A and corporate funding activities. Previously, Brendan held senior roles at AXA, Genworth, Augusta Ventures, and Deloitte UK, demonstrating a commitment to integrating finance with broader business goals to create value. Brendan obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Cape Town.
