Stefano Calcina has extensive experience in the actuarial field, currently serving as the Head of Life Group Actuarial Function at Generali since September 2002. In this role, Stefano coordinates the calculation, validation, and reporting of Life Technical Provisions in line with the Solvency 2 framework and oversees the Life Underwriting Policy and Reinsurance Strategy at the group level. Previously, Stefano contributed to the IFRS17 Group project as the Life & Health SLT technical referent until January 2022 and held positions such as Head of Solvency 2 Life Technical Provision Coordination and Calculation Unit, Life Value Analysis Deputy, and actuarial expert. Stefano began a career in the financial sector as a customer's assistant at Banca Generali in early 2002. Educational qualifications include a Laurea magistrale in Scienze statistiche ed attuariali from Università degli Studi di Trieste, earned between 1996 and 2001.
