Eric Gu

Eric Gu is a Member of Technical Staff at Imbue since June 2023, focusing on building AI agents capable of reasoning and coding. Previously, as a Machine Learning Engineer at Apple from October 2019 to April 2023, Eric contributed to Project Titan by conducting deep learning research and engineering for autonomous systems, particularly in training generative models to enhance simulations for reinforcement learning environments. Eric also interned at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer in 2018, developing features for an internal tool utilized for automated vendor negotiations, and at Capital One as a Product Management and Analytics Intern in 2017, where a framework designed for credit card approval processes led to cost savings and broader customer access. Earlier experience includes a co-op position as a Supply Chain Consultant at Manhattan Associates from 2015 to 2016. Eric holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completed in 2019.
