Laura Caito

Laura Caito is a consultant at Generation Ready. Laura previously worked as the director of school support at The Achievement Network, where they helped schools understand and use data to provide better instruction for students. Laura also worked as a fourth grade humanities teacher at La Cima Elementary Charter School and as a life skills technical advisor at the Peace Corps. In their role at the Peace Corps, Laura updated and implemented a life skills curriculum, designed and facilitated trainings for teachers, and planned and taught guidance and counseling classes and life skill sessions to students. Laura also created teacher training materials, developed a service learning curriculum, and led clubs that enhanced the students’ English and Math skills. In addition, Laura sorted and analyzed test data, drew up school-wide schedules for Guidance and Counseling sessions, and wrote and managed a grant that allowed 14 out of school youth to go back to school and 15 out of school youth to start a poultry farm and coop.
