Prior to this, they served as the VP of Engineering at Raydiant - Experience Platform. David also had leadership roles at Anova Culinary, Symantec, Oracle, Say Media, Amazon, and OpenTable, where they held various engineering and management positions. At Amazon, they played a crucial role in expanding Amazon Digital Music and ensuring the smooth functioning of Kindle devices. Throughout their career, they have delivered major releases, implemented new technologies, and maintained high uptime for a significant number of users.

David Phipps began their education at Boston University in 1981, where they pursued studies in physics. After completing their time at Boston University in 1983, they transferred to the University of California, Berkeley.
