In his current role as Business Development Manager, William Caton directs an 18 member sales team in this highly productive merger and acquisition operation, advising middle market business owners on effective exit strategies for their highly sought after business ventures. His team is primarily responsible for initiating seed level calls to targeted businesses with the goal of motivating qualified owners to commit a day of their time to explore M&A options through the one-day seminars. In addition to managing the day-to-day operations, William spends a portion of his time recruiting, hiring, training and supporting new team members with the goal of maintaining the company’s production objectives.
Prior to joining Generational Equity, William was President and CEO of a New York based Technology Company that provided emerging computer technologies to individuals and small/midsize companies. He was tasked with the responsibility to develop the Corporate Vision, Mission, and Objectives for the business. As leader of the operational and functional units, his focus was on setting clear expectations and benchmarks, along with reward systems to realize corporate objectives.
