Social and Behaviour Change Communications Lead

Monica Longwe is an experienced health communication specialist with a robust background in public health, particularly in social and behavior change communication. Monica's career includes roles at esteemed organizations such as Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health as a Health Communication Fellow, and PATH as a Project Manager for TB/HIV programs in South Africa. Monica has served as an Advocacy and Behaviour Change Consultant for UNAIDS, evaluating and developing the Malawi HIV Prevention Strategy. Currently, Monica oversees social and behavior change communications as the lead at Genesis Analytics, providing strategic guidance to South Africa's National TB Control Programme. Additional experience includes positions with Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, The Aurum Institute, and Save the Children International, focusing on capacity strengthening and effective communication strategies for health initiatives. Monica holds multiple degrees from the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Malawi, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Public Health.
