Jeff Auster

Jeff Auster's work experience includes various roles in different companies. In 2012, they worked as a Researcher at UTEX Culture Collection of Algae, where they gained expertise in PCR, DNA sequencing, and bioinformatics tools. Jeff then interned as an Environmental Engineering Intern - Statistical Analysis at Eastern Research Group, Inc. (ERG) in 2014. In 2015, they worked as Market Research & Analytics at Cambia Information Group. In 2016, they co-founded Genesis, a venture fund that provided pre-seed capital and mentorship to student entrepreneurs. Jeff raised $2M in funding, scaled the organization by 10x, and worked with over 200 startups. Jeff also worked as a Researcher at the Laboratory for Cardiovascular Bioengineering and Therapeutics, where they contributed to a project improving protein therapeutics for peripheral vascular disease. Finally, they interned at Strategy&, part of the PwC network, as an Associate - Consulting Intern, M&A in 2018 and as a Senior Associate starting from August 2019. In 2017, they worked as a Chemical Engineering - Process & Production at BASF.

Jeff Auster holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
