James Lafikes

James Lafikes, Ph.D., P.E. is currently working as an Adjunct Faculty at The University of Kansas, teaching Finite Element Methods for Solid Mechanics. Prior to this role, James has also held positions as a Structural Engineer at Genesis Structures, an Assistant Professor at Ottawa University, and a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Kansas. With a background in Civil Engineering, including a Doctor of Philosophy and Masters degree from The University of Kansas, James has also served in various teaching and tutoring roles throughout their academic and professional career.
