Ryan Yoo

Ryan Miranda is a Director of Product Marketing at Genetesis. Ryan previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study from September 2017 to July 2020. There, they studied wave and eccentricity dynamics in protoplanetary disks using analytical theory and numerical simulations. Ryan developed numerical tools for analyzing and interpreting the results of hydrodynamical simulations using detailed linear perturbation theory. Ryan also formulated a theoretical framework describing the role of thermodynamics in planet-disk interaction and developed a numerical implementation of cooling to explore its implications. Ryan significantly impacted the prevailing interpretation of the observed morphologies of protoplanetary disks.

Ryan Miranda has a PhD in Astronomy & Space Sciences from Cornell University, and a BS in Physics from Arizona State University. Ryan also has certifications from Coursera in Deep Learning Specialization, Financial Engineering and Risk Management Part I, and Machine Learning, as well as a certification from DataCamp in Python Data Science.
