Sumit Srivastava

Sumit Srivastava has a solid work experience in the fashion industry. Sumit started their career as a Fashion & Apparel Designer at Richa Group in 2013, where they worked until 2016. Subsequently, they joined Richa Global Exports Pvt. Ltd. as a Fashion & Apparel Designer from 2016 to 2018. During this time, they gained experience in creating designs for a variety of categories, including women's, men's, and kids' apparel.

In 2018, Sumit joined Shahi Exports Pvt. Ltd. as a Fashion & Apparel Designer. Here, they played a key role in establishing the company's apparel business with global retail brands from the US, UK, Canada, Europe, and Australia markets. Sumit provided creative and 3D technical design support to the sourcing team and worked closely with renowned clients such as Tommy Hilfiger, Belk, Kroger, A&F, Hollister, Target (AUS), H&M, Tesco, LINDEX, Joe Fresh (Canada), Maurices, and Uniqlo.

In 2022, Sumit joined Kuperhand-NYC as a Manager (Design & Sourcing), where they handled design and sourcing responsibilities. Sumit then moved on to Geniemode as a Design Manager in the same year. In this role, Sumit analyzes the latest trends using global platforms like WGSN, conducts brand research, and forecasts trends. Sumit also works on concept development, fabric sourcing, sketching, brainstorming, and co-creation processes to create seasonal collections for global retailers in the women's, men's, and kids' categories, focusing on the US market.

Sumit Srivastava completed their education in a chronological order. Sumit started their educational journey in 1997 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, where they completed the All India Senior Secondary Examination. From 2006 to 2008, they attended Holy Cross School in Bokaro Steel City and obtained the All India Senior Secondary Certificate in the field of Business/Commerce. Prior to that, in 2008, they briefly attended Delhi University, pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a specialization in Accounting and Finance. Finally, from 2009 to 2013, Sumit Srivastava attended the National Institute of Fashion Technology in India, where they obtained a Bachelor of Design degree in the field of Fashion/Apparel Design.
