Marcelo Kern

Marcelo Kern is currently working as a Laboratory and Quality Manager at GENinCode_ Predictive Genetics. Prior to this, Kern worked at GSK as a Scientific Investigator and Associate GSK Fellow in Cell and Gene Therapies. Marcelo also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of York, focusing on alkaloid biosynthesis in opium poppy and developing tools for cost-effective liquid biofuels from plant biomass. Marcelo holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Imperial College London.
