Jorg Calis is currently a Senior Data Scientist at Genmab, focusing on the discovery and development of novel antibody-based therapeutics since August 2023. Prior to this role, Jorg served as an Assistant Professor and Senior Postdoc at UMC Utrecht from March 2019 to August 2023, specializing in translational transcriptomics and immune activation in chronic inflammatory diseases. Jorg's research expertise includes establishing novel transcriptomic assays and computational analyses in immunology and cardiology. From March 2014 to February 2019, Jorg worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Rockefeller University, studying diversity in the immune system, and held multiple research positions including postdoctoral roles at NKI-AVL and Universiteit Utrecht. Jorg holds a Master of Science in Cancer Genetics and Developmental Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, both from Utrecht University, along with a VWO from Alberdingk Thijm College.
