Johnathan Matlock

Johnathan Matlock is a co-founder of Empirical Ventures, where they lead pre-seed and seed rounds for deep science startups focused on groundbreaking technologies. With a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bristol, Johnathan has accumulated over 15 years of experience in various scientific and advisory roles. Currently, they serve as a non-executive director for Glaia and Argonaute RNA, and hold advisory positions at Elbow Beach Capital and GenomeKey, contributing to innovations in biostimulants and gene silencing, respectively.
