Benjamin Hook

Benjamin Hook is the Head of Technical Programmes at Genomics England, where they lead planning, roadmapping, communication, and delivery of technical projects focused on AWS, Genomic Big Data, and HPC Clusters. Previously, Benjamin held roles at Genomics England as Technical Delivery Manager and Head of Cloud Enablement, managing agile teams and overseeing significant projects, including cloud migrations and COVID-19 research initiatives. Their earlier experience includes technical project management and software implementation at Service Works Group, as well as a brief stint rehabilitating penguins at SANCCOB. Benjamin earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Durham University, where they engaged in various extracurricular activities.
