Mark Doherty

Mark Doherty is a skilled genomic data scientist currently employed at Genomics England since August 2022. Mark has a diverse background in research, including a position as a research assistant at the Academic Unit of Neurology, Trinity College Dublin, where responsibilities included managing genetics operations related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Prior experiences include serving as an executive research assistant at the Geotechnical Research Group, focusing on research projects involving Irish calcareous sand and implementing computer management systems, as well as a bioinformatics research internship in plant developmental studies. Mark holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Genome Sciences/Genomics and a Bachelor's degree in Genetics from Trinity College Dublin, along with a Bachelor of Architectural Science from University College Dublin.
