Ryan Confer

Ryan Confer is the CFO at Genprex, a biopharmaceutical company. Ryan has also served as the Co-Founder and Chief Operating & Financial Officer of Innovate Texas Foundation, a non-profit organization that connects Texas's intellectual capital with financial capital, human capital, entrepreneurs, universities, businesses, government, and technology communities to strengthen Texas as a global leader in the innovation economy and to create economic abundance for Texans.

Confer has over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, compliance, human resources, operations, marketing, and technology development. Ryan has a proven track record in raising capital, developing strategic business plans, assembling technical and business development teams, and developing strategic and financial partnerships.

Confer has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and is a certified public accountant.

Ryan Confer has a Master of Science in Technology Commercialization from the Texas McCombs School of Business and a BSBA from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Ryan is currently pursuing a PhD in Finance and Economics from Penn State University.

They are on a team with David M. Schloss - SVP, HR, Laura Tirado - Associate Manager of Supply Chain and Logistics, and Hemant Kumar - Chief Manufacturing & Technology Officer. Their manager is Rodney Varner, President & CEO. and Kalyn Dabbs - Senior Manager of Communications & Marketing reports to Ryan Confer.
