Jie MA

Jie Ma has extensive experience in marketing and product management in the biotechnology industry. Jie started their career as a Marketing Specialist at GenScript in February 2014, where they managed the protein expression service portfolio and led the launch of new services. Jie also developed and executed advertising strategies to enhance market awareness and drive revenue.

In January 2017, Jie Ma transitioned to the role of Product Manager at GenScript, where they consolidated and established the biologics portfolio and developed the portfolio strategy. Jie played a key role in the Go-to-Market process, including product launch, promotion, and upgrade. Jie also initiated new branding models and explored innovative business opportunities, such as antibody and biosimilar licensing-out deals and strategic collaborations with CDMO suppliers. Additionally, they were responsible for sales opportunity and activity management.

In January 2019, Jie Ma joined GenScript ProBio as a Senior Marketing Manager, leading the global strategic and product marketing functions for the Biologics CDMO business. Jie developed and executed the global marketing strategy, including market insight, financial forecast modeling, and capability planning. Jie also led the product portfolio strategy for three core businesses and established the therapeutic antibody licensing-out process. Additionally, they established the product training system for business development and sales teams.

Jie Ma completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Southest University from 2007 to 2011. Following that, they pursued an Engineer's degree in Biotechnology from Ecole nationale supérieure d'Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires from 2011 to 2013. Finally, Jie Ma obtained a Master's degree in Enterprise Administration from Institut Supérieur d'Administration et de Management-Université Nancy 2 (ISAM-IAE) in the year 2013.
