Leon Song

Leon Song has extensive work experience in the biotechnology industry. Leon is currently working at GenScript ProBio as the Senior Director of BD & Scientific Solutions since June 2018. Prior to that, they worked at GenScript as the Director and Head of the Dept. of Biologics Development from January 2017 to June 2018, and as the Director and Head of the Dept. of Protein Production from June 2015 to December 2016. In these roles, they led production teams for protein production in various systems, including mammalian, insect, and E. Coli, and also handled CRISPR KO/KI cell line development and Biologics development. Leon was also involved in business development in North America. Before joining GenScript, Leon worked at BioDuro as the Associate Director of Discovery Biology from January 2014 to May 2015. Leon started their career at Schering Pharmaceuticals in 1996, where they held roles as a Research Scientist and later as a Senior Research Scientist in the Dept. of Neurobiology until August 2009. Leon then joined Merck as a Senior Scientist/Program Leader in the Dept. of Neuroscience from November 2009 to November 2013.

Leon Song completed a Postdoc Fellowship in Molecular Pharmacology from 1992 to 1996 at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. No additional information is provided regarding any other education or certifications.
