Cuiying Shao

Cuiying Shao is an accomplished professional in the field of biopharmaceutical research and development, currently serving as the VP of Strategic Research at GenScript since April 2020. Previously, Cuiying held the position of CEO at Tuojie Biotech under Jiangsu Hengrui Medicine Co., Ltd., and served as VP of Biologic Discovery at GenScript, overseeing preclinical biologics drug discovery activities. Additional experience includes leadership roles at Qilu Pharmaceuticals as VP of R&D Shanghai Center, and GSK R&D China as Head of Protein Cellular and Structural Sciences, where collaborative antibody discovery capabilities were developed. Prior tenure at Roche involved significant contributions as Senior Director, establishing the Shanghai Glycart antibody discovery site. Early career achievements include team leadership at Haptogen Ltd., and research fellow positions at the University of Aberdeen and University of Cambridge, complemented by a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from De Montfort University.
