Stephen Shi

Stephen Shi is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in research and product development. From October 2006 to December 2012, Stephen served as a Research Scientist at Boston University School of Medicine, contributing to multiple research projects on biopolymers and publishing 17 peer-reviewed papers. Stephen then joined New England Biolabs in December 2012, initially as a Scientist in Applications and Product Development, and later advancing to Senior Manager, leading efforts in protein expression, analysis, synthetic biology, and glycobiology. Currently, Stephen holds the position of AVP at GenScript, beginning in July 2025. Prior experience includes a Graduate Research Associate role at The Ohio State University and a Research Associate position at Rutgers University, where Stephen focused on organic chemistry and computational chemistry. Stephen holds an MBA with high honors from Boston University, a PhD in Organic Chemistry from The Ohio State University, and both a BS and MS in Chemistry from Nanjing University.
