John Hallock is an experienced architect and studio director, currently serving as the Mixed-Use Practice Leader at Gensler since March 2025. Previously, John held the position of Studio Director & Austin Office Leader at RIOS from September 2021 to March 2025. Prior roles include Architect at RENZO PIANO BUILDING WORKSHOP, Associate and Architect at Olson Kundig, Architect at Dick Clark + Associates, and Architectural Intern at KPF. John has also contributed to Rogers Marvel Architects as an Architect. John holds a Master of Architecture degree from The University of Texas at Austin, completed between 2005 and 2008.
