Ling Zang

Ling Zang is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the fields of chemistry, nanomaterials, and sensor technology. Currently serving as Director of the Board of Directors at Gentex Corporation since May 2021, Ling Zang has also held the position of USTAR professor at the University of Utah since August 2008, focusing on research related to nanomaterials, nanoscale imaging, and optoelectronic sensors with applications in security, energy, and the environment. As the founder of Vaporsens Inc. since May 2011, Ling Zang has pioneered innovative sensor techniques for the trace vapor detection of explosives, drugs, and toxic chemicals. Ling Zang also served as the Chief Scientific Officer and founding president of Vaporsens from May 2011 to September 2015. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Science and a B.S. in Chemistry from Tsinghua University.
