Wayne Rumsey

Wayne Rumsey has over four decades of engineering experience, primarily at Gentex Corporation since 1985, where roles include Principal Engineer and Engineering Manager in CAE Systems, focusing on the support and development of CAE tools and PLM applications. As Product Design Manager, Wayne led the design and development of electrochromic mirrors, expanding the design team significantly. Earlier contributions as a Senior Product Design Engineer involved the creation of mechanical components for Gentex's first electrochromic mirror assembly. Initial experience includes a position as a Designer at Special Chassis Inc, developing road race vehicles, and as a Mold Maker at OMNI DIE & ENGINEERING, INC., where Wayne honed skills in precision machining through a tool and die apprenticeship.
