John Longnecker

John Longnecker is a seasoned software architect with extensive experience in automotive and battery systems. Currently serving as a Software Architect at Gentherm since May 2017, John focuses on integrating the Alfmeier product line, enhancing software development tools, and improving productivity. Previous roles include Lead Software Engineer for Ford DSM5 development and Senior Software Engineer for Ford CD6 DSM-3 Memory and Climate Seat Control Module. Prior to Gentherm, John held positions as a Technical Specialist at LG Chem Power, Inc., and as a Sr. Development Engineer at Daimler Trucks North America, among others. John holds a Master’s degree in Automotive Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University.
