Chip Dicks is a highly experienced legal professional and legislative advocate with a distinguished career spanning several decades. Currently serving as a Partner at Gentry Locke since September 2018, Chip previously acted as Legislative Counsel for the Virginia Association of REALTORS from July 1990 to December 2023, where responsibilities included drafting legislation and overseeing government relations. Before joining Gentry Locke, Chip founded FutureLaw in November 1997, after a tenure as Partner at Mays Valentine, where focus areas included real estate and government relations. Early in the career, Chip practiced law privately in Virginia and served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates from 1983 to 1989, holding various committee positions and chairing the Infrastructure and Revenue Resources Commission. Chip holds a JD from Stetson University College of Law and a BA in Political Science, Philosophy, and English from Methodist University.
