Desmond Adler has a strong background in the medical technology industry, with a focus on optical coherence tomography (OCT) imaging. Desmond has held various leadership roles throughout their career, including President of Cardiovascular at Gentuity, LLC. Prior to that, they worked at Glaukos Corporation as the General Manager and VP of R&D, Corneal Health, where they were responsible for product development, clinical trials, and market positioning. Desmond also spent time at St. Jude Medical as the Director of Advanced Technology, overseeing the development and commercial launch of intravascular imaging technology. Desmond began their career as a Research Scientist at JDS Uniphase, where they designed waveguide devices for telecommunication networks. Desmond holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Optics and Medical Imaging from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they developed revolutionary OCT systems.

Desmond Adler received their BSc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta in 2001. Desmond went on to pursue their MS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2004. Desmond continued their education at MIT and obtained a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2009.
