Joel Herrmann has a diverse work experience, starting with a Math Tutor role at the University of Missouri in 2011. In 2012, they were an ITLP Infra Business/Operations Intern at GE Transportation. In 2011, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Cerner Corporation. In 2013, they were a Software Developer Intern at Oberd, and also a Low-Level Software Engineering Intern at Garmin International. Since 2014, they have been a Senior Engineer at Genuen, where they design and develops automated tests and test systems for high-reliability and safety-critical applications, and performs instrumentation control and data acquisition using NI LabVIEW and the PXI platform. Joel also implements requirements based testing for avionics (DO 254) and DOE, utilizing NI TestStand and traditional text-based languages, such as Visual Basic and Python.
Joel Herrmann graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2016, they obtained a Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer certification from National Instruments.
