Katie Chau

Katie Chau is a dedicated advocate for inclusivity and civic engagement, holding multiple roles in various organizations that emphasize community outreach, policy development, and educational initiatives. As an Access and Inclusion Committee Member at Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, Katie contributed to initiatives celebrating ethnic heritage while leading efforts to enhance racial and ethnic awareness in schools. Experience includes collaboration with city officials in Anaheim, campaigning for Congress, and directing student participation in advocacy efforts through Diversify Our Narrative. Currently serving as Vice President of TEDxUCR, Katie continues to influence policy as the Director of Policy at GENup, working on legislative proposals impacting K-12 education and higher learning institutions. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis from the University of California, Riverside, and involvement in diverse internships and projects that amplify voter engagement and community support.
