Gen X (or Generation X) is the name given to the generation born between the mid-1960s and the early-1980s. Gen X follows the baby boom generation and precedes Generation Y or the millennial generation.

This generation has literally built most of the businesses that propelled high growth economies and was the engine that gave shape to the corporate landscape as we know it.

This generation has been there and done that. With the economic landscape changing, the challenges becoming far fewer and the urge to take on the next challenge, they have also become poised to become the single biggest driver of entrepreneurship. Contrary to popular perception, entrepreneurs in their 40s have been far more successful, vastly experienced with hands on strategic, operational and leadership experience. And having been from the generation that has seen the pre digital and post digital era, they see things with a much wider perspective.

GenXventures enables entrepreneurship amongst this generation with a vision to create the generation of entrepreneurs who can better utilise capital and build business that can scale. By leveraging their vast experience, we hope to have a new wave of businesses that have not been created purely for the purpose of driving valuations and raising money. But to create businesses that can generate cash flows, create employment and then be poised to grow with the right capital infusion.
