Allen Marr, Ph.D., P.E., NAE has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Allen began their career as a Miner at Tutor Perini Corporation, where they worked on a hard rock tunnel project. Allen then moved on to Woodward Clyde Consultants as a Staff Engineer, gaining valuable experience in the field.
In 1972, Allen joined the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Research Associate and Instructor. During their time there, they contributed to various research projects and shared their knowledge as an instructor.
In 1982, Allen embarked on a new venture and founded Geocomp - GeoTesting Express, where they served as the Chief Executive Officer. Geocomp offers a wide range of geotechnical services and products, helping clients identify and manage risks associated with infrastructure design, construction, and operation. Allen's leadership and expertise have been instrumental in the growth and success of the company.

Allen Marr, Ph.D., P.E., NAE earned their Ph.D. and MSCE in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1970 to 1974. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering at the University of California, Davis from 1966 to 1970. Additionally, they hold certifications as an NHI Certified Instructor from the FHWA National Highway Institute and is a Professional Engineer (PE) licensed by the Board of Registration of Professional Engineers.
