Daniel Freeman

Daniel Freeman is an experienced Cloud Engineer, currently serving as the Lead Platform Engineer for the Intelligence business unit at Roke since May 2024, focusing on cloud infrastructure for Maritime Domain Awareness SaaS products. Previously, Daniel held roles as a Cloud Engineer at Geollect and Ground Segment Software Engineer at Telespazio. Earlier experience includes positions as a Technical Consultant and Senior Software Engineer at CACI Ltd and Software Engineer and Team Lead at SCISYS PLC, specializing in Space Ground Segment applications. Initial experience was gained as a Research Assistant at the University of Nottingham, contributing to aerospace robotic repair solutions and sensor data applications. Daniel holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Nottingham and a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in IT and Creative Media from Solihull College.
