David K. is a Group Leader at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel and has held the position of Junior Group Leader at the Leibniz Institute DSMZ since 2018. They obtained a PhD in Microbial Ecology from the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology in 2008. Previously, David worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
