Dr. Tim Boxhammer

Dr. Tim Boxhammer is an experienced marine scientist currently serving as a project manager for the CDRmare - RETAKE initiative at GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel. This role involves managing projects related to ocean alkalinity enhancement and its potential as a carbon dioxide removal method. Dr. Boxhammer also has expertise in knowledge transfer management within the same consortium, fostering connections between industry stakeholders and research efforts. Additionally, as a central research data manager for the CDRterra program, Dr. Boxhammer focuses on land-based carbon dioxide removal methods. Previous roles include scientific publishing, open access journalism, and participation in various marine research expeditions, alongside a doctorate in marine sciences from GEOMAR and a diploma in biology from Kiel University.
