Sameera Perera

Sameera Perera is currently serving as the VP of Software Engineering at Geonexus since March 2025. Previously, Sameera held the position of Director of Engineering, R&D at Celigo from October 2015 to March 2025, successfully transforming a struggling product division and achieving 500% ARR growth. Sameera's extensive experience also includes roles at WSO2, where key contributions included the development of a Decision Support System, and co-founding Pragmatic Test Labs, driving initial growth and providing technical expertise. Earlier positions encompass significant contributions as Product Manager and Architect at Celigo, Senior Software Engineer at Calcey Technologies, and Software Engineer roles at various organizations, showcasing a strong background in software engineering and product development. Sameera holds an MBA from the University of Wales, a Bachelor of Information Technology from the University of Colombo, and a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa.
