Tom Koch

Tom Koch has 10 years of work experience in the GIS and geospatial field. Tom currently works at Geo Owl as a Program Manager, responsible for managing projects related to geographic, aeronautic, and elevation intelligence information. Prior to that, they worked as a Project Manager at Geo Owl, supporting NGA's JANUS Geography program, which provides real-time access to enriched content. Before joining Geo Owl, Tom worked at T3W Business Solutions as an Installation Lead and Senior GIS Analyst, where they facilitated the implementation of a program aimed at improving facility readiness for Marine Corps installations. Tom also served as a GIS Specialist at Brunswick County, where they conducted spatial data analysis and supported the implementation of GIS processes. Tom started their career as a Geospatial Data Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, where they provided support to the NGA and the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation-Level Data (HIFLD) Subcommittee, as well as other organizations such as the National Guard Bureau and Counter IED Integration Cell Program.

Tom Koch attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington from an unknown start year to 2011. Tom completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography, with a specialization in Applied Geography. Following this, Tom pursued their education at North Carolina State University and obtained a Master of Geospatial Information Science & Technology (MGIST) degree. The exact start year of their master's program is unknown, but they completed it in 2019.
