Richard Degner has held several notable positions in the geophysical technology industry spanning over three decades. Richard began their career with Western Geophysical, where they served as Vice President from 1984 to 1999. In 2000, Degner joined PGS Onshore as President, a role they held until 2003. Richard then assumed the position of Chairman and CEO at Global Geophysical Services, where they remained until 2012. In 2013, they became the President and CEO of Geophysical Technology Inc., where they currently hold the top executive position.
Richard Degner obtained their Bachelor of Science degrees in Geological Engineering and Geophysical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. Richard completed this education between the years 1978 and 1983. Following this, they pursued an MBA degree at Rice University, which they earned between 2002 and 2004. In addition, Richard also attended the Colorado School of Mines for a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology/Earth Science, although specific years for this program were not provided.
