Eric Tenthorey is a seasoned expert in geomechanics and carbon management, currently serving as a Senior Technical Advisor and Senior Researcher at Geoscience Australia since July 2007. In this role, Eric focuses on advancing carbon capture and storage as well as hydrogen production initiatives, contributing to pioneering studies identifying optimal hydrogen production sites across Australia. As a Project Leader, Eric oversees geomechanical and fault risk assessments for carbon storage operations, notably leading the CO2CRC Otway Project. Prior experience includes a Research Fellow position at Australian National University, where Eric specialized in rock mechanics and its applications in earthquake-related studies and energy technologies.
