Simone Giannecchini

Simone Giannecchini is the Founder and Director of GeoSolutions, where they have dedicated over 19 years to advancing open-source products such as GeoServer, MapStore, GeoNode, and GeoNetwork. Simone earned a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Magna cum Laude, from the Università di Pisa in 2003 and has held various roles, including Junior Software Engineer at TD Group and Contractor Software Engineer at NATO Undersea Research Centre. They also serve as a Charter Member of OSGEO and are actively involved in the Project Steering Committee for GeoServer and the Project Management Committee for the GeoTools Open Source Project.
