Ted Guild is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in standards development and technology leadership. Currently serving as Connectivity Standards Lead at GEOTAB since May 2021, Ted focuses on standards, strategy, and partner engagement. Prior to this role, Ted spent over two decades at W3C, first as the Automotive Lead, guiding standards for connected vehicles, and later as Head of IT, overseeing the Systems Team. Ted also contributed to the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory as Research Staff. Earlier in the career, Ted worked as Lead Software Developer for New England Internet Services, providing software solutions for diverse clients, and as Associate Business Analyst at Carolina Power and Light, where responsibilities included developing applications for HR and reporting. Ted holds a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, with further education from Hebron Academy and Middlebury College.
