Anthony Youd

Anthony Youd has a comprehensive work experience in software engineering and research roles. Anthony recently worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Geoteric, starting in March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Pulsic from August 2019 to March 2020. Anthony also had a previous stint at Pulsic as a Principal Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Engineer from 2014 to 2018.

In 2018, Anthony worked as a Software Engineer at Leica Biosystems where they developed medical imaging systems for the cytogenetics and pathology communities.

Before transitioning to software engineering, Anthony worked as a Teaching Support Officer and Assistant Computing Officer at Newcastle University from 2007 to 2014. Anthony was responsible for Unix and Windows system administration, e-assessment systems, and provided support to students and staff.

Anthony's early career involved research as a Post Doctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge in 2006. Their research focused on mathematical models of superfluid turbulence and involved developing complex solvers and parallelization techniques.

From 2002 to 2005, Anthony Youd pursued a PhD in Computational Applied Mathematics at Newcastle University.
