David Scott has been working in the software engineering industry since 2012. In that year, they completed a summer internship at the Met Office, during which they converted a data verification tool written in Matlab into Fortran 90 and wrote a research paper on their findings. David also worked as a supervisor at the University of Warwick, teaching small groups of first year mathematics students.
In 2013, they began working as a Software Developer at TPP (The Phoenix Partnership). David's main responsibilities included working on the client side of the main desktop application, using Java and Swing, as well as working on the disaster recovery system for the server.
From 2015 to 2019, David Scott held the position of Senior Software Developer and Software Developer at Lhasa Limited. David's role involved working on a number of projects and proof of concept work, using technologies such as Angular, Typescript, Javascript, Node. js, npm, express, SCSS, HTML, Webpack, Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, Java, Spring Core, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, Spring Web MVC, JUnit, SQL, MySQL, SVN, GIT, Apache Tomcat, Jenkins, JIRA, Webstorm, and Eclipse.
Since 2019, David Scott has been working as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Germain UX.
David Scott received their Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Warwick in 2013. Prior to that, they attended King Edward VI College, Stourbridge from 2007 to 2009.
