Kai Kim is a seasoned legal professional and educator with extensive experience in corporate and commercial law, particularly in relation to cross-border M&A transactions involving Chinese parties. Currently serving as Vice Chair of the Investment Forum at the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, and as a Salary Partner in the China group at Taylor Wessing, Kai Kim has played a significant role in advising clients in corporate law matters since July 2019. Previously, a Senior Associate at German Accelerator and a Lecturer at Humboldt University of Berlin, Kai Kim has taught various courses on Chinese law and society. The career began at Baker McKenzie, where a focus was placed on China-related projects and M&A transactions, further complemented by roles as a Legal Assistant and Judicial Law Clerk. Kai Kim holds multiple degrees, including a law degree from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and a Master's in China Studies from Freie Universität Berlin, along with studies at Fudan University and Tongji University.
