Joe Denton

Joe Denton has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, with a focus on quality assurance operations. Joe currently holds the position of Senior Director Quality at Geron Corporation, where they have been since July 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. as an Associate Director from November 2017 to July 2019. Joe also held the role of Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance Operations at Theravance Biopharma, Inc. from May 2015 to November 2017. Earlier in their career, they worked at Seattle Genetics as a Manager, Manufacturing Quality Assurance from July 2012 to April 2015, and at Dendreon Corporation as a Supervisor, QA Contract Manufacturing from December 2004 to July 2012. Before that, they worked at Amgen, Inc. as a Sr. Specialist from July 2002 to December 2004, and at Immunex as a Sr. Specialist from July 1998 to July 2002.

Joe Denton attended the University of Washington from 1989 to 1998, where they earned a degree in English with a focus on Creative Writing. Joe also holds a certification as a Certified Quality Auditor from ASQ.
