Simon Klinkenberg

Simon Klinkenberg has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries. Simon has recently worked as a Business Developer for GET Protocol Foundation, where they were involved in implementing a blockchain-based ticketing solution for ticketing companies and event organizers. Prior to this, Simon worked as a Business Developer for GUTS Tickets, focusing on their fully digital and blockchain registered ticketing system to eliminate ticket fraud.

Simon also has experience in sales and account management. Simon worked as a Senior Account Manager at Talpa Network, a media company, for over two years. Before that, they served as a Global Sales Manager at BigAirBag® B.V., a leading manufacturer of airbags for sports and leisure applications. Simon also worked for TIG Sports, where they handled sales for the Volvo Ocean Race in 2018.

In addition to their corporate experience, Simon has entrepreneurial experience as well. Simon successfully managed a beach club and played a key role in its growth and brand awareness. Simon also undertook a graduation project at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where they developed a research set-up to measure shoulder muscle activity patterns in women who recovered from breast cancer treatment.

Simon's early career involved working as a Movement Therapist at GGZ Nederland, where they assisted clients with psychological disorders in various sport activities, and as a P.E. Teacher at Andreas College.

Simon Klinkenberg has a diverse education history. Simon started their education at KNVB where they pursued a degree in Trainer Coach 3 in Football. Following this, they attended Northgo College from 1996 to 2001, earning a HAVO degree in Economics and Society. Later, they enrolled at De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences, where they studied Physical Educator and obtained a Bachelor's degree from 2002 to 2007. Simon Klinkenberg then continued their education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) from 2013 to 2017, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Human Movement Science.
